How We Train at MBS Fitness

At MBS Fitness, training is about more than completing a workout. We teach skills, develop strength and fitness, improve movement and help each person progress from their current level.
Our main group programs include Adult Boxing, Circuit, Flexibility, and separate Kids & Youth Boxing sessions. Each program has a different purpose but follows the same approach: clear instruction, practical coaching and consistent progress.
Coaching Comes First
Every MBS session is led by a coach from beginning to end. Your coach explains the session, demonstrates the movements, observes your technique and provides feedback while you train.
Exercises can be adjusted to suit your experience, fitness level or physical limitations. You are not expected to arrive knowing what to do or to keep pace with someone more experienced. The goal is to train correctly, work at an appropriate level and improve over time.
Adult Boxing
Our Adult Boxing sessions teach boxing step by step. You will learn stance, guard, punches, footwork, defensive movement and combinations through bag work, pads, partner drills and boxing-specific conditioning.
We focus on control, coordination and correct technique before adding speed or intensity. Beginners are not expected to spar, and contact sparring is optional.
Adult Boxing is suitable for people who want to learn boxing properly while improving their fitness, coordination and confidence.
Circuit Training
Our Circuit sessions combine strength, cardiovascular and functional exercises in a planned full-body workout.
A session may include squatting, pushing, pulling, carrying, core work, bodyweight exercises and cardiovascular equipment. The coach explains every station and helps each member select a suitable movement, resistance and intensity.
This allows people with different abilities to train together without everyone completing exactly the same version of an exercise.
Flexibility & Stretching
Our Flexibility sessions use guided mobility exercises and stretching to help people move with greater control and comfort.
Training may focus on the hips, shoulders, back and other areas that commonly become tight through work, sport or everyday life. Movements are completed within a comfortable range to improve mobility and body awareness without forcing painful positions.
Kids & Youth Boxing:
Our Kids & Youth Boxing programs are delivered separately from adult sessions and adapted to the age of each group.
Young participants learn boxing technique, balance, coordination, safe movement, listening and teamwork. Sessions also help them develop fitness and confidence through regular practice.
The focus is not on children fighting. It is on learning boxing skills, becoming more active and developing discipline in a supportive environment.
What Connects Every MBS Program?
Our coaches explain what members are doing and why it matters. Technique comes before unnecessary intensity, and training can be adjusted to suit the individual.
Beginners receive support without being singled out, while more experienced members continue to develop their skills and fitness. Progress is built through regular attendance and training at an appropriate level.
We want people to leave each session understanding what they worked on and feeling that they achieved something useful.
Is MBS Training Suitable for Beginners?
Yes. You do not need boxing experience or a high level of fitness before starting.
We will help you choose an appropriate program based on your goals, interests, experience and any concerns you may have. As your skills and fitness develop, your training can gradually become more challenging.
